FIFTY THINGS I WAS DOING WHEN I WAS 27

On the 27 days till bday – but got behind!)

1. Was pregnant with second child
2. Ran a youth group
3. Took youth group to rythym and news concert
4. Knew my soon to be born soon would be a drummer
(because of that concert! I had to leave)
5. Had a baby boy – Joel Thomas Dakota on June 25, 1992
6. Had my hair braided by my sister for the event
7. Missed my nephews baby shower as I was having his cousin
8. Worked at a greenhouse full time till I was two weeks overdue
9. Lived on a farm
10. Rode horses
11. Wrote poetry
12. Mowed the lawn
13. Had an under two child Hannah Grace Marie
14. Grew St. Joseph’s climbing coat roses
15. Grew Morning glories and nightscented stalks
16. Drove an two tone omega
17. Was a pastor’s wife
18. Found a wife for a friend
19. Babysat for others
20. A niece was also born that year
21. Suntanned
22. Went to Oregon
23. Attended Robert Cote’s wedding
24. Took my newborn and his sister camping
25. Went for walks
26. Spent time with friend Corinne
27. Attended a baby shower for Joel in Bashaw, AB
28. Decided I could achieve things in life even though I was a mom
29. Chose another son to come and live with us a year later
30. Enjoyed hayrides in winter with babies
31. Looked at lots of stars
32. Made new goals
33. Dreamed bigger dreams
34. Knew my kids would be very smart
35. Made baby food
36. Loved buying baby clothes
37. Roasted hot dogs at narrows
38. Used an outdoor fire pit for three months bec oven was broken
39. Made zucchini casserole over fire
40. Had early morning coffees with Walter Kittler and Jim Mackenzie
41. Went for walks and enjoyed birds
42. Carried my kicking screaming daughter a long ways when I was still pregnant
43. Shopped in small town grocery stores
44. Made a small house seem bigger
45. Wrote stories
46. Visited my grandpa
47. Enjoyed family gatherings
48. Reallized how young I was
49. Read Books
50. Planted flowers and trees at church
